BLANKETS FOR THE HOMELESS
Don Bouchard is collecting blankets for the homeless in Winnipeg,
to be distributed at Christmas.

“We are looking for any size or color. No sheets, however, just any type of blankets – even shoulder blankets. It’s just a way for those in tents to stay insulated. These go to the real desperate ones.
Sometimes quilts are also awesome because we will put a bow on them to present as a gift to women in human trafficking safe house. We select where blankets go to. MCC will also provide us with quilts of all sorts. We just want to bring anything that can prevent frost bite and people on the streets are usually not too picky.
Fine quilts are only given to ladies that live in a facility.”

Drop off your donations at the display in the foyer anytime until Dec. 22.

Brighten someone’s Christmas this year with a warm blanket.

Join Exaudi Chamber Choir and the Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church Choir from Winnipeg in an evening of music celebrating the Christmas season. A joint performance J.S. Bach’s beautiful Magnificat is the highlight of this evening, while Exaudi will also perform other selected choral works.  This is a free concert, while an offering will be taken to support the charitable work of Steinbach EMC.  Performance: Saturday, December 7, 7:30pm at Steinbach EMC.  422 Main St., Steinbach, MB.  For more information visit https://www.exaudi.ca
