- We believe that the Holy Scriptures, the Old and New Testament are the Word of God, divinely inspired and infallible and the only trustworthy guide in faith and life.
(2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, 1 Thess. 2:13) - We believe in the only, living, and true God, creator, sustainer and ruler perfect, holy and eternal, existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Matt. 28:19, John 10:30, 2 Cor. 13:14, Heb. 1:1-5) - We believe that Jesus Christ is fully man and fully God, the eternal begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. That He lived in perfect holiness, suffered, died, arose and ascended to heaven, to reconcile men with God, and that He ever-lives to intercede for his children, and that He will come again according to his promise.
(Matt. 16:16, Luke 1:31-33) - We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person, one with the Father and the Son, that He convicts and regenerates man, and sanctifies, and instructs, and guides the believers.
(John 14:16, 17, 26; 15:26; 16:7-14) - We believe in a visible Church, the body of Christ, made up of those who through repentance and regeneration have come to the faith, have received the Holy Spirit, and have become members of the fellowship here on earth, of which Jesus Christ is the head and foundation; it is responsible to preach the Gospel to all people according to the command of Christ. It will be preserved by Christ until the end of the age. It will be characterized by its evangelical faith, teaching, love, behavior, works, and the observance of the ordinances according to the command of Christ.
(Matt. 16:18, Eph. 1:23, Col. 1:13, Acts 20-21; 17:30, Gal. 3:26) - We believe in the following Biblical ordinances:
- Baptism
We believe that all who through repentance and faith in Christ have been regenerated and have become children of God should upon confession of faith submit to water baptism according to Christ’s command.
(Matt. 28:19, Acts 2:38, Gal. 3:27) - Lord’s Supper
We believe in the observance of the Lord’s Supper as a constant responsibility of the believers in remembrance of the suffering and death of our Savior Jesus Christ and for fellowship with God and with one another.
(Matt. 26:26-29, 1 Cor. 11:23-25)
- Baptism
- We believe in the institution of marriage of one man and one woman; for the believers this may only be in the Lord and such a union can only be dissolved through death, with exception as allowed by God.
(Matt. 19:1-9; 1 Cor. 7).
We believe that the Holy Scriptures state that God created male and female and declares that sexual union was established exclusively for the male-female relationship and is consecrated in marriage relations. - In addition to the foregoing articles of faith, we believe in the following scriptural teachings:
- We believe in the Biblical teaching of peace, love, and non-resistance as Christ himself practiced this in His life and as we learn it from the teachings of Christ and the apostles.
(Matt. 5:38-48; 26:47-56; Luke 6:27-38, John 18:33-37, Rom. 12:17: 1 Cor. 13, 1 Peter 3:9) - We believe in avoidance of the oath.
(Matt. 5:33-37) - We believe in the practice of church discipline according to the New Testament teaching.
(Matt. 18:15-18;1 Cor. 5:5; 2 Cor. 6:1-7; Titus 3:10) - We believe the Bible clearly condemns homosexual activity as sin, an abomination in God’s sight, and that it is of the flesh which is unnatural, degrading and totally contrary to God’s will.
(Lev. 18:22; Lev. 20:13; Rom. 1:21-27; 1 Cor. 6:9-11; James 1:13-18).
- We believe in the Biblical teaching of peace, love, and non-resistance as Christ himself practiced this in His life and as we learn it from the teachings of Christ and the apostles.
- We believe that we have been called with a holy calling to live a life of separation from sin and the world.
(Eph. 1:4; 1 Peter 1:15; Col. 1:22) - We believe in an eternal hell, a place of punishment prepared for Satan and his rebelling angels, and all those who reject Jesus Christ as Son of God, as Saviour and Lord.
(Rev. 20:10; Luke 16:19-31; Mark 9:42-48) - We believe in the personality of Satan and other evil spirit beings as the enemies of God, the saints, and the holy angels.
(Isa.14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:11-19; 2 Cor. 4:3-4) - We believe in an eternal heaven, a place of reward and rejoicing prepared by the Lord Jesus Christ for all believers.
(Matt. 25:46; John 14.1-4; 1 Thess. 4:13-18)
